These practices are explained in the book "Oral Instructions of Mahamudra" and the sadhana we will be using for the chanted prayers is called "Hundreds of Deities of the Joyful Land". They are available for purchase at our meditation center or online at Tharpa.com.

Each Friday we will engage in 4 sessions focusing on one of the Preliminary Guides. The sessions include chanted prayers, meditation and mantra recitation as a powerful method to accumulate merit, purify negative karma and receive blessings from enlightened beings.

Vajrasattva

The supreme method to purify negative karma, and therefore protect ourself from future suffering.

Mandala Offerings

The practice of the mandala offering is a scientific method to attain the Pure Land of a Buddha and accumulate a great collection of merit.

Guru Yoga

This practice is the gateway to receiving the powerful blessings of all the Buddha's through our Spiritual Guide.

Gen Kelsang Lhadron is an American Buddhist nun who has been practicing Kadampa Buddhism for 15 years and is the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center San Diego.
