Much of our worry comes from trying to control things that are beyond our control. We live in a world that is in constant change. From world politics to the ups and downs of daily life, there seems to be so many things to worry about. But, what if we experience mental stability that doesn't depend on externals? In this morning retreat we will explore how to reduce our worldly concerns and cultivate a special state of mind that is calm, balanced and effective in solving problems.

“If I simply control my mind,
What need is there to control other things?”

-Shantideva
